The exterior design is fine, but the thermoelectric system is extremely weak. As an engineer and a very avid wine lover\collector, I am very familiar with thermoelectric coolers as I have owned 2 of them for about 10 years now, and both of my wine coolers are able to keep 30+ 1-Litre bottles chilled to right at 55-F; this poor little box can't evacuate enough ambient heat to bring 1 can of soda down below 62\63-F. surrounding the box is approx. 78-F, so by their specs. this box should be able to reduce the temp to approx. 46-F, not even close folks, my soda cans (never more than (3) don't even get down to 60-F, and I would have been pleased with 55-58, no such luck. After researching, I found that this is a common issue. I also found that this product doesn't have a UL certification which was very surprising. However, there were several negative reviews which made me hesitant to purchase it. After several weeks I decided to order the Mini Fridge & am so very pleased with it. It operates perfectly to keep items cold. I've not had an opportunity to utilize it as a warmer, so I can't comment on that function at this time, but have no reason to believe that it wouldn't operate in that mode as well as it does for cooling items. I haven't tried the warmer, but I'm sure it works just as well as the cooler. It is used by a nursing home resident and is perfect because it doesn't emit a lot of heat into the small room but allows her to have her yogurt when she needs it. It also has a car adapter.
