According to a press release, AC/DC vocalist Brian Johnson “has been advised by doctors to stop touring immediately or risk total hearing loss.” Tomorrow’s show in Atlanta through the Madison Square Garden show in New York in early April will be made up later in the year, likely with a guest vocalist. More information regarding these rescheduled shows to come. Current ticket holders can hold on to their tickets for the rescheduled dates or receive a refund at point of purchase. The affected shows can be seen below. It has been a rough few years for AC/DC. First, as the band prepared to record their Rock or Bust album, they made the announcement that longtime guitarist Malcolm Young was stepping aside while receiving treatment for dementia. Meanwhile, drummer Phil Rudd had some highly publicized legal woes that resulted in a house arrest and the band deciding to move on without him. In their place, the band forged ahead with Malcolm’s nephew, guitarist Stevie Young and returning drummer Chris Slade.
