Red "clean filter" light still on. We regret the inconvenience you have experienced with this air conditioner. This red indicator light is typically related to the CLEAN FILTER alert. The ‘Clean Filter’ LED will light up to notify you that your filter needs to be cleaned. After cleaning the filter, press “Temp ^” and “Temp v” buttons together to turn off ‘Clean Filter’ light. The filter reset must be done from unit control panel. The buttons on the remote control will not perform in this fashion. Water come from front ? When water leaks from the front of the cabinet, usually this is caused by improper installation, tilting the cabinet too far forward. However, if this water is coming from the upper vents, then this could simply be due to high humidity in the room.

My LG model LW8012ER is professionally installed on high floor in apartment building BUT when we have heavy rains & winds the unit leaks from the bottom onto window sill as if the rain comes through the top vents and out bottom seem. What can be done? Proper installation of this air conditioner would have any water, whether from the rain or from its own produced condensation, running outward, toward the back of the air conditioner cabinet. The pathway for the water is blocked between the inside and outside portion of the cabinet. It would seem that there is a higher level of humidity being collected, and the cabinet being tilted forward, may be allowing additional moisture inside the room. It is recommended to keep as much water out of this device as possible. This is part of the reason for the recommendation of an awning or cover over the cabinet. If it is on the display/control panel, is there a notation next to it? It is recommended to check the air filter and clean it if necessary. This room air conditioner is designed for installation in standard, double-hung windows with actual opening widths from 22” to 36”. The upper and lower sash must open sufficiently to allow a clear vertical opening of 13” from the bottom of the upper sash to the window stool.
