I purchased mine in 2009 and it had been getting progressively less efficient needing to run longer & longer to cool my room. Just research what "single-hose AC" meant prior to purchase. This AC does not cool the room. We use this AC in our bedroom to keep from cooling the entire house each night. Our electric bill has dropped almost $200 in summer months! I purchased this unit primarily because it says that it does not need to be drained. It is printed right on the front of the machine. It's 83 degrees outside. I've been running this AC in my room for about a half hour. Guess what the temperature in my room is? This will be going back. I don't have this exact model, but I have a version from the same company and bought it from walmart. Bought this brand new 3 days ago and had it set to 62 degrees. It never went below 74. This is the third Haier product I've bought and all have been completely disappointing.This unit does not come with a way of draining the condensation and the user manual does not say anything about it!
