Nilai COP dapat dengan mudah dikonversi ke EER dengan mengalikannya dengan 3,41 (EER = COP * 3,41). Kadang ada brosur produk AC yang mencantumkan nilai EER tapi dalam satuan W/W. Ini tidak tepat, untuk mendapatkan nilai EER yang sesungguhnya, kalikan dengan 3,41. Berita baiknya adalah mayoritas produsen AC mencantumkan nilai EER atau COP pada brosur produknya. Selain itu, semua AC hemat listrik yang diiklankan memang memiliki EER yang tinggi, bukan hanya penggunaan dayanya rendah. Berita buruknya adalah nilai EER atau COP bisa jadi tidak terstandarisasi. Perbedaan konfigurasi ruangan, temperatur dalam dan luar ruangan, cara pengambilan data, dan faktor-faktor eksternal lainnya di luar AC-nya itu sendiri bisa saja mempengaruhi nilai EER, terutama bagi AC inverter yang konsumsi dayanya dinamis. Setahu saya tidak ada standar yang mengatur pengukuran EER ini di Indonesia.
