It's loud at 61 .. What is wrong with this piece of equipment?! I set it up at 7 PM, waited until 9 PM to start it (per instructions) and it had been running all night. Took a few times to get this squared away, but it works well. If you don't have a permamant drain hooked up, be SURE to drain the water frequently. It works amazing with it, cools it down, and our living room is big, I'd say 20x20, and this brings it down to its set temp, at 72F within an hour and a half.

And that's with letting it control fan speeds, also, with our living room having the intake for our central unit, it helps with pulling the air it has cooled into the rest of the house as well, and keeps the big unit from having to work so hard. People complain about the noise, but compared to a window unit I've heard in friends hpuses, I'd say it's about the same, or even a little quieter. It works great for me.
