Still working after a year+! But cautious because it's my second LG air conditioner. The first one died just days after warranty was over. There was more damage done to it than expected. It looked like it had been dropped on one conner.could not get the in side to come out.it didn't blow cold air. great ac works perfectly This works like an air conditioner should. Nice and quiet and easily cools a large upstairs bedroom. This is a quiet and cool unit when installed properly, shipped properly and assembled properly. You do not have much control over the last two things, so it's luck of the draw. I wanted to upgrade a small Samsung air conditioner so I checked August 2014 Consumers Union (CU) ratings and they check rated this LG unit. The unit itself works fine. The frame curtain that takes up the extra space in the window is made of very weak cheap plastic and is a piece of CRAP. works ok in open room. would probably work better in bedroom ... Bought used through Amazon.

It's about 85 degrees outside in San Diego, here. Worked fine for a year , once the Warrenty was up, it started leaking all over the place. I've had this two weeks so far and it works great. I use it to cool a 200 sq ft bedroom and also helps keep the other upstairs foo s cooler to a lesser degree. Called again today to find out what was going on after two no show appointments and have... arrived broken, and open in a uhual box with leopard duck tape the bottom of the box had been cut open which made the wheels brake Apparently this is not the air conditioning unit to purchase for use in South Florida. I only had it a short period of time before it began leaking water all over the floor. Three days after installing a mouse walked right into the unit and made this a/c its home. How do you ask?We used it all summer long but it won't keep big rooms cool. good for bedrooms but not really for living rooms.
