I have not rented from U-Haul for over 20 years and was pleasantly pleased with my recent experience. I rented a 5x8 foot trailer for the 4x8 foot trailer cost (since they were out). The trailer was practically, new clean, and the tires had good tread on them. Since I was going on a long trip and returning, I requested a spare tire (which I never had to use). I intend to rent from this same place next year when I again travel to Colorado to go elk hunting. Thanks for great representatives (April, Andy and Amanda) to work with at the KC Locust Street Lot! Don't have your employee ask for tips! Staff was awesome from check in to return. Keep it up guys! In addition to providing excellent customer service for renting the truck, the employee at the pick-up location helped me find a helper for the move. The move was on very short notice and she took the time to search the web for me until I found someone. I would have been stuck without her help (I still use a flip phone). I had difficulty with starting the truck multiple times because I was unable to turn the key in the ignition. Also I was charged twice on my credit card and when I called to question the bill the person was cutting me off before I could explain my concerns and was not very helpful once it was explained. This is embarrassing, and I promise I'm not trying to be funny or rude, but the male sales associate working at the that location while was there was very odiferous. So much so that upon walking in, and before even seeing him, I noticed the smell. Additionally, after he retrieved the truck for me, the cab was very smelly for some time after.

I use them every time I need a vehicle The location isn't convenient but the service is excellent and worthgoing out of the way for.Every staff member I encountered was knowledgeable, professional and answered all my questions. I was very impressed and grateful for their help during the stress of moving! I want to especially thank the young lady who was running the shop that day. Excellent worker, courteous, professional with great expertise as she had my truck hooked up to the trailer I rented in no time while she taught me steps and safety items. The inside of the facility was spotless and very well organized. Couldn't have had a better experience, mostly due to the young ladies' superb customer service. The customers have to be patient because your employees were exceptionally courteous, helpful, I can truly say this because AUGUST WAS A TOUGH MONTH FOR ME BECAUSE I HAD LOST TWO RELATIVES WITHIN 7 DAYS APART. Andy went above and beyond helping us hook up vehicle hauler to our truck.

Our wiring had a short and he helped us find it and get everything sorted out. Very convenient and easy to find. Office was closed as drop off after hours but very easy to handle. Get more employees like Ms Amanda and Ms April. They are very good to the customer. Amanda and her entire staff were amazing! I rented a cargo van to move my dad from a nursing home in Wichita to one in Overland Park. U-Haul helped take some of the stress out of a stressful situation. The move went great and my dad is now in a nicer place and much closer to my home. Thank you and I will definitely be back. This was by far the best experience I have ever had with uhaul. The staff was helpful and knowledgable and SO quick. I absolutely would recommend this location to anyone. I enjoyed thinking that my best interest was valued as a customer. Make sure you actually have the size van you reserve for customer. I reserved a 15' but you only had a 10' in stock. Everything else wAs fine.
