Marriage saver :-) in SoCal Inferno Summer Very expensive, but necessary if you have casement windows. What really made things great was the one day shipping option during the height... The top front of the air vent is damage as well as the right corner didn't notice until i had it place into the window something heavy was place on top of the box, seems to work ok... I had to build a frame for it because it is slightly narrower than my window and doesn't come with the plastic accordion side panels I'm used to having on A/Cs. It got a real test the first day it was installed it was over 90 degrees that day and my home was like an oven even with several fans going. They got it into the window and turned it on and in just a few minutes the temperature in the house began to go down.

It was well cooled in only about ten minutes. I am not talking about just a bedroom...I am talking about the whole house. Two large bedrooms, dining room, kitchen, living room and family room! I am very glad I got this one. The only downside is that the panel for above the unit to fill the window space was way to small. We finally just used a 3/4 inch piece of wood to fill the window space. I will paint it once the temps have cooled down some. It was quite easy to install but be sure that you have help as it is not a one person job. I had three young men working on it for me. I would have given five stars except for the panel not fitting and there is none you can buy to fit. I may have to try the hardware store to see if they have something generic that will work. Coolsa much larger area than stated. I only wish it had one more slower fan spread. Put one of these in my bay window, it went in fairly easily and for a window unit, it does a phenomenal job cooling. It almost single handedly handles the whole main floor of the house.
