I like this AC unit but dont expect it to cool your whole apartment it only keeps my living room cool and the dimensions are 20 feet by 10 feet. We are using this unit in a well insulated (walls,ceiling & floor) bonus room over the garage of about 450 sq ft.came with one broken vane in the airflow system. We run a B&B in Central Maryland and have been using the LX-140 to cool and dehumidify one of the guest room and our separated apartment. I purchased one in 2008 and it worked fine until 2014 then none of the buttons worked on the remote or unit, I could still plug it in or unplug it to get A/C, but it was stuck at... Perfect for our large bedroom. Noise is a little high but so worth the relief from the heat. Sorry for the late reply. Worked great for cooling, my power bill has been lower than the last two years with no A/C. Heater works great!

unit has a quirk that is causing most negative comments: the h8 error - asking you to empty the water tank. I have had this unit for 5 years and just recently the H8 light came on and I emptied the water from the unit. When I turned it back on it no longer was blowing cold air. I purchased this item almost two years ago. I moved to a small studio apartment in Los Angeles which did not have central air, and it was during a warm summer, so I needed an AC...There is a reason that it has only a one year warranty. We purchased our 10,000 BTU SoleusAir unit from Menards in 2013. I purchased this air conditioner on May 30 of this year and I've been running it continuously since. It’s set up in my bedroom and it cools the room just fine. Well unit works fine and cools large area. The exhaust hose was a 6" diameter. Heat wears out flexibility. I didn't find it loud. We use it for a our garage during humid days and has worked excellent! I use this product all the way in South Korea.
