Originally purchased in 2002. Condensor fan or compressor motor ? Probably in the ballpark of $400 ballpark for condensor (fan) motor changeout complete, more likely in the $600-800 range for compressor motor if it is separate from the compressor - most residential sized units now come unitized like in refrigerators so you have to replace the compressor too if the motor goes out, for a total of $1000-2000 range installed - more in a few models. If you use knock-off motors instead of OEM may be able to save a hundred or so on the motor or a few hundred on a compressor, but no guarantees on life. Has anyone installed a Trane XV95 gas furnace?
